Thirteen years ago, we started our training on a very small scale in a gym, without coaches or sports wheelchairs. We quickly received external coaching support, and in the following years we rapidly acquired the necessary sports equipment.
Today, 13 athletes train in a beautiful hall and each participant has a sports wheelchair necessary for the sport. We have a team of coaches and travel as a team of at least 6 players, as many companions, and sports wheelchairs on Erika Reisen's barrier-free bus to game days.
With two teams, we regularly participate in game days throughout Switzerland.
This season, we are playing in the highest league for the first time and learning a lot.
As one of our players impressively described in a television interview, powerchair hockey is a game that gives a feeling of freedom thanks to the speed of the wheelchair, presents new challenges to everyday life, and promotes contact with other colleagues.
