Competition System
Rules
Matches are played according to the IPCH International Rules, with the following modifications.
Group Stage

3 Groups with 4 teams each

2 × 10 minutes regular time

5-minute break

2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss
If two or more teams finish with the same number of points, the following criteria will determine the final standings:

Advancement to Quarter-finals

1st and 2nd place teams from each group, plus

the two best teams in 3rd place
advance to the Quarter-finals and compete for the overall tournament winner.

9th –12th Place Group

Teams finishing 4th in their groups and the lowest-ranked 3rd place team will play in a placement group for 9th–12th place.

Protests
If a team wishes to lodge a protest, it must submit the Official Protest Form (available at the LOC Office in the Sports Hall) together with a €100 protest fee.

If the protest is upheld, the fee will be refunded.

If the protest is rejected, the fee will not be refunded.

All schedules and live results are available via Tournify.

Referee
Each participating team is required to nominate one referee.
Nomination requirements:
-
the referee must officiate in the team’s domestic competition (any level),
-
this must be confirmed by the respective national federation governing Powerchair Hockey,
-
the referee cannot be an active player in the tournament.
The organizer reserves the right to request a change of the nominated referee.
Meals and drinks
-
Water: Tap water is safe to drink in all venues (sport Hall, Hotels etc.). We encourage participants to act in an environmentally friendly way and use reusable water bottles.

Breakfast: Served at the respective hotels.

Lunch: Served at the Sports Hall on Saturday, 4 April and Sunday, 5 April.

Opening ceremony and closing ceremony
The official opening ceremony of the Pilsen Powerchair Open 2026 will be held in the
Big Hall of Parkhotel Pilsen, a fully accessible congress venue with a total area
of 1,000 m².
Opening Ceremony Program

official opening dinner for all participants,

ceremonial draw and team presentations.
The closing ceremony will take place at the same venue after the conclusion of the competition and will include:

Official announcement of final standings,

Presentation of individual awards,
-
Presentation of team awards,
-
Closing Gala Dinner.
The Closing Ceremony will serve as the formal conclusion of the tournament and a celebration of sporting performance, fair play, and friendship within Powerchair Hockey.
Transportation
LOC does not provide transportation during the tournament. Specific transportation requests must be indicated in the Entry form and will be handled individually. The organizer reserves the right to charge additional fees. Transportation from the closing ceremony will be provided by LOC if requested in advance.
